Good Books For Christian Men by E J Jolivet
The book “Alone with the Jihadist” (Foghorn Publishers) is a good book for Christian men. It brilliantly highlights the complexity of the issues that keep the Arabs and Israelis engaged in a continuous war of words and dastardly deeds.
Evangelist Aaron Taylor, was solicited to participate in a film. He answered an e-mail “Hollywood Production Company looking for a young missionary that travels the world to participate in a feature length documentary.”
Meeting With The Jihad
The evangelical Christian, born and raised in Jefferson County Missouri was asked to meet with a Jihadist. Khalid, an Irish convert to Islam, who sports a mean pair of fiery eyes, and a grey t-shirt with the words “Soldier of Allah” written on the front. The two where ushered to an abandoned warehouse for their pivotal meeting.
Their discussions centered on how America and “Christians as a whole have legitimized whatever earthly power structures they’ve found themselves living under, whether it’s monarchy, capitalism, socialism, as if their system of government was God’s hand picked “ism” for the world.”
Taylor’s inquisitiveness took him to the Middle East to see for himself the situation in the West Bank. The trip ended up dramatically changing his opinions and fueled the desire to write his book.
Tales Christian Zionist Tell
After hours of discussions with Khalid he gets to see the the horrific effects of “Judaization”. The official policy used to evict Palestinians from their homes. It gives them only a couple of hours to gather their belongings and leave. Once the home is demolished, the authorities then gives the family a bill for the demolition.
The author, points out in the book that Christian Zionists who support these kind of tactics are gaining support despite their many contradiction. The main one is their ongoing efforts to provide millions of dollars every year to fund Jewish immigration to Israel, even though they believe two thirds of them are going to be wiped out by a nuclear holocaust in the not-too-distant future-in Israel.
It didn’t take long before Taylor realized that Christian Zionists aren’t telling it like it T-I-TIS. They support home demolitions and land confiscations, but consider Christian men like former president Jimmy Carter as anti-Semitic, a heretic, and an enemy of Israel just because he dared to compare the situation in the West Bank and the Gaza strip to Apartheid.
A Man On A Mission
Taylor’s book gives the reader a riveting first hand account of what he’s witnessed, not just hearsay. In his attempt to shed a light on a side of the Israeli conflict that doesn’t get much coverage in the popular news media.
It’s part of his latest mission to share with Christian men and anyone that will listen, what he’s seen and learned.
Prompted by a a quote from Edmund Burke who said, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. Taylor’s activities since returning from his journey to the Middle East shows his plans are to say more and do more about what he’s learned.
